Sanskara is a proudly South African business created by a bride for brides. Sanskara is focused on making the journey to the wedding as beautiful as the big day by curating bridal products and services that make planning easy and elegant, with an eastern flair.

We at Sanskara know how stressful planning an entire wedding weekend can be and aim to make the process stress-free and relaxing, so that the bridal couple can concentrate on what matters most: making life-long memories. A fairytale marriage starts with a fairytale wedding- you dream it, we’ll help you plan it and create it.

My Story

Hi, I’m Talya! I am the founder of Sanskara. I created Sanskara after getting engaged and started planning my wedding as well as all the other events that go along with an Indian wedding. My sister bought me a wedding planner and although it was beautiful and useful to an extent, I found that there were categories and events that just could not be planned in a Western Wedding Planner. After my sister got engaged, I searched for an Indian Wedding Planner to gift to her and found that there was nothing comprehensive or easily accessible to a Modern Indian Bride. This is how Sanskara was born.
